Joe Meyer co-founded North Pole Engineering with Joe Tretter in 1997. Joe has over 25 years of expertise implementing large-scale ASIC and FPGA designs. As one of the foremost experts in FPGA and ASIC design in the Midwest, Joe provides the foundation for NPE’s ASIC / FPGA Engineering Services Group. Focusing on military and consumer electronics, Joe has managed the implementation of Inertial Guidance, Gyro, Altimeter, Accelerometer, Terrestrial Navigation, Satellite Positioning, network router and GPS Navigation projects.
Joe Tretter co-founded North Pole Engineering with Joe Meyer in 1997. Joe leads NPEs Embedded Hardware and Software Solutions Group. His extensive technical experience provides a unique blend of embedded hardware and software expertise. Joe provides a wealth of knowledge in the areas of usability, manufacturability, testing as well as adherence to ISO and FDA design standards.
Rick is a leader in FPGA and ASIC chip designs and maintains extensive experience in both Verilog and VHDL hardware design languages. His talents have been instrumental in completing a number of large-scale high-speed FPGA and ASIC designs for a wide variety of applications. In addition he has lead the design and implementation of fully automated test environments for unit level testing and fully integrated co-simulation test suites. Rick is responsible for the development of NPE’s ASIC and FPGA engineering staff.
Jim comes to NPE with a vast portfolio of senior business leadership experiences from different industries helping companies grow revenue and manage operational costs. He has an entrepreneur spirit and understands how to strategically manage startup to small and growing ventures.
