NPE introduced WASP-B (ANT-to-WiFi) nearly 3 years ago at the ANT+ Symposium. Since then the next generation product, WASP-N, has been developed that offers more features and functionality at about 25% lower price than WASP-B. Key features include:
  • Simultaneous management of various sensors protocols to include all of the ANT protocols (ANT/ANT+/ANT-FS) and the Bluetooth Smart (BLE) protocol.
  • 802.11 b/g/n WiFi
  • On board memory
  • WASP OEM ANT network key protection
  • Bi-directional sensor communication and control
  • Currently certified for use in North America, Europe, Japan and NZ/AU

Demos of Bluetooth Smart and ANT+ technology at the 2014 International CES include iBeacons, high-end toys, health & fitness sensors, and armband-based RF remote control. September 2012: NPE enters distribution agreement with Symmetry Electronics

North Pole Engineering is proud to announce that it has executed a distribution agreement with Symmetry Electronics to become the exclusive world-wide distributor of its WiFi-IT! EDK and EDK+ products! Symmetry is a distributor for GainSpan's products and this partnership provides them with more options to engage clients who desire to use GainSpan's modules for their wireless solution! NPE's EDK is a less expensive and easier-to-use development tool utilizing WiFi-Basic to create application solutions. NPE also provides value added services to help companies with limited resources or time to develop their wireless solution needs: WiFi-Basic or GEPS application development, and/or embedded engineering hardware/software services! NPE's website will be modified by October, 2012 to incorporate changes relating to WiFi-IT integration with Symmetry Electronics!

September 26, 2011: North Pole Engineering officially releases its new Wasp product October 2011

Wasp is a standalone unit providing a bridge for ANT+ devices to communicate through Wi-Fi networks to other devices or over the Internet. Integrating an NPE WiFi-IT! module, 8-channel ANT+ transceiver, power management circuitry and rechargeable Li-Ion battery, Wasp provides a data gateway for monitoring, recording and analyzing ANT+ data remotely.

March 3, 2009: North Pole Engineering Selected as Xilinx ATP

Xilinx today announced the expansion of its Authorized Training Provider (ATP) program with the addition of North Pole Engineering to it's global network of ATPs and online learning solutions.

The Xilinx ATP Program delivers training to engineers interested in learning how to develop low-cost, efficient programmable logic and system-level designs. Customers and users in the North Central United States can enroll in Xilinx Education Services directly with NPE.
