Improved Garmin functionality with the Runn

NEWS FLASH: North Pole Engineering Connect IQ Data Fields for Runn Major Update

You said it, but even better, we listened! By popular demand, we have just pushed out an update to North Pole Engineering Connect IQ Data Field for the Runn Smart Treadmill Sensor. Previously, Garmin users were only able to get incline percentage into their Garmin watch via the Connect IQ Data Field, but as of this writing, Garmin users will have the ability to track total ascent, total descent, and incline. The data field updates will allow users to select which fields they see and if multiple fields are chosen, they will be able to select the amount of time each metric is shown on the screen via the Rotate Time field in the app. On supported watches, users can show all 3 fields when they are set to rotate through (configured in the Connect IQ Setup).

Our head of marketing had this to say, “We are a customer first company and that means we listen to our customers. Our customer support team speaks with customers on a regular basis and one of the most common questions is ’when can we get total ascent into Garmin devices?’. We connected that feedback with our development team and were able to move that feature up in the timeline and get it done. The development team did the heavy lifting to get the feature in place and operational, but we can’t do this without the support and feedback of our customers.”

To use this feature, simply update your North Pole Engineering Connect IQ Data Fields for Runn, adjust the settings in the app, and sync with your watch. For a detailed setup article, please see our support article here. For a detailed list of supported Garmin watches, please go here.
